hello world.md
python print("hello world?")
hey! glad you made it this far, I'm Kalan (preferably Kay). this is going to be my first post, so I'll dive straight in.
I'm starting this blog to provide the things i do in my free time as a coder and tech enthusiast with some sort of documentation. in the coming years, I've found that there is a lot of work that i do behind the scenes, and that's not really helpful to myself in the long run. i want to do great things for the world, and be remembered! I've been 'coding' since i was 8 years old, but i only have proof of my work for the last 3 years... so let's fix that!
as corny as it may sound, i always knew from a young age I'd be into computers. ever since my father took apart and showed me his old Windows XP computer, i have been completely fascinated with computers and what i can do with them.
over the last 5 years, I've done my best to hone my skills related to writing code and working with the latest tools. this includes Python, Java, C, Verse (by Epic Games), and JavaScript/TypeScript. whenever a new tool comes out, like gpt-3 in 2020, i do my best to either try it myself, watch someone else use it, or read about what it can do. I'm always looking for new ways to innovate in the projects i work on.
there are a few projects I'm working on at the moment, with the most prominent one being Conclave. Conclave aims to solve the problem of working with others on tasks and everyone having their own separate chat with their own AI. the idea is, you should be able to chat not only with multiple large language models, but with other people as well all in the same window. i believe it would make it easier to collaborate and share ideas when working with AI in groups.
on this blog i aim to post my general thoughts, the occasional tutorial for when i figure things out, deeper dives into the projects I'm a part of and work on, and more. I'll do my best to post a few times a month at a minimum, just to keep myself accountable to always learning. i hope to inspire other young devs like myself to keep improving their skills and build great things.
my socials should be attached in the footer of the site, but just in case, you can find me and my work here:
$ stay tuned && happy coding!
